IO DONNA, weekly women’s supplement of the national quality daily Corriere della Sera, will be completely relaunched from October 8th.
Since its birth 20 years ago as first women supplement in the market, Io Donna is the leading women newspaper supplement for circulated copies (337’000 – Ads 2015) and readership (814’000 Audipress 2016.1).
Io Donna has always had a strong Relationship with its readers through its well-structured sections based on 5 senses and open dialogue, talking to an elegant and sophisticated target.
Women have changed and there is an emerging common theme coming out on women stories belonging to different lives and experiences, a theme is more and more about “HERE AND NOW”. In terms of editorial content, this means to be very close to the news of the moment and to try to get close to the target offering points of view “staying in the present”.
Some key points:
- New concept same Director: the new project has been quite ambitious as the Editor in chief has been asked to create something new from a concept created by herself. To do that she worked in team with several different branches (off/online, adv, fashion contributors…)
- “Jazz structure”: no more fixed categories but a fluid structure able to change issue by issue according to the table of content
- Growing nr of pages FASHION and BEAUTY : fashion will have some covers dedicated (not only personalities) in the most relevant fashion issues
- New graphic: contemporary and less romantic taking inspiration from modern art
- Improved paper
